Program for viewing and working with medical DICOM images of different modalities. It supports a large number of DICOM compression formats including JPEG2000. It has plenty of tools to change the brightness, geometry and measurement products. It has functionality for automatic layout of series of images.

Diagnostic program eFilm Workstation
The program eFilm Workstation - new universal tool for viewing images in DICOM format and work with them. Reads any image - MRI, CT, radiography, endoscopy. mammography, PET, ultrasound, angiography, etc.
allows you to automatically receive images from various devices, as well as transfer them to other computers on the network.
The set of tools and functions make the work more convenient and efficient.

About DICOM format
Many health problems of fundamental importance to format the processed image. If you plan to use a wide range of data recipients and post-treatment study results, you should use the format of the data described in the international standard DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine - The digital images and sharing them in medicine) - the industry standard for transmission of radiological images and other medical information between computers, based on the standard Open System Interconnection (OSI). The standard has the technology to uniquely identify any object in the information networking, uses image compression standard JPEG and supports various formats of physical media.
Thus - the standard DICOM - a complex picture, which is an element of a series of images obtained in the study of the same patient. The file that stores the same image in standard DICOM,, includes not only the direct image, but also related information such as: information about equipment, which conducted the study, a description of the study, parameters and a description of the series, the coordinate system associated with the image; attributes that define the image itself, text-graphics, charts and commentary, performed by medical personnel and attributes that describe the transformation of the data obtained, etc.
It consists of 13 parts:
1. History, purpose and structure.
2. The criteria of compatibility with the standard diagnostic tools, DICOM.
3. Definition of information objects. Information Model, which describes the relationship between the normalized objects (the patient, the device) and compound (research, images, etc., inherit some attributes of normalized objects).
4. Specification of classes of operations. Are specified classes of actions or operations that may be performed on information objects. For example, Image storage, storage conversion table pixels, Query / extraction, etc.
5. The structure and semantics of data. We describe the types of data and coding rules used for transferring data from one system to another. Transmission formats are specified image.
6. Data Dictionary. A complete list of data elements described in the standard DICOM. Each data element is identified by a pair of integers, such as a pair (0018.5100) identifies the description of the patient with respect to the device at the time of the study.
7. Messaging. The structure of command and protocol messaging.
8. Providing messaging network environments.
9. Providing messaging with direct communication.
10. Storage media and file formats. A detailed description of the structure of DICOM-file.
11. Application performance data storage on external media.
12. Media formats and physical environment data storage.
13. Control output to printers with the direct connection. We describe the protocols and operations necessary to display the image on the printer.
